Yesterday I photographed the talented, Jessica Z Schafer, at her Third Ward studio inside the Materials Studio & Gallery. 

About Jessica

Coming to photography from a liberal arts and business background, Jessica has a BA in history and French Language and Literature from Smith College, in Northampton, Massachusetts, and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. A passion for design and balance working in marketing and publications design at the Racine Art Museum has led  back to the importance of images.

In the last decade, she has worked behind, in front of, next to and beyond the camera.

A film enthusiast and photographer, Jessica has volunteered with the Milwaukee Film Festival as a programming committee member since the inception of the event in 2009, evaluating both shorts and feature length productions. Previously, she volunteered with the Milwaukee International Film Festival, and have occasionally appeared in local video productions.
