This trip to Louisville, Kentucky, was a bit different than past travels. I attended the 2025 National Art Education Association Convention, which brought 3,200 art educators nationwide to downtown Louisville. The majority of my time was spent networking, presenting, attending meetings and sessions, and representing my school, SchoolArts magazine, and the National Art Education Foundation. I did find some downtime to check out the city. Louisville is about a 7-hour drive from the Malibu of the Midwest. Definitely another trip in the future.

Since 2021, I have been publishing posts about my travels. When I see small opportunities to get in the car or hop on a plane, even if it is for a couple of days, I’ll pack my bag. Photography has been my way of seeing the world, engaging in new experiences, and putting myself in a different mindset to continue being inspired by the places I visit and the people I meet.
