The Joy of Traveling: Denver, Colorado 2024

Featured image: downtown Denver

I can tell if I am in a great city when I find myself taking a lot of photos the moment I head to my final destination. Being surrounded by a city full of color, culture, the arts, architecture, and people is inspiring. This past weekend, we flew to Denver, Colorado, for a pre-season Packer game. Unfortunately, the Packers lost. This was my first time in the Mile High City. When I saw the slogan, I did not know what it meant. Turns out that it refers to the city’s elevation of 5280 feet above sea level. Although the football game was the reason for our visit, we explored the city as much as we could during our very short stay. Denver left a very good impression. We will be back for sure for art and breweries.

About Frank Juárez’s The Joy of Traveling

Since 2021, I have been publishing posts about my travels. As an art educator, I find it difficult to travel for long periods during the school year. However, when I see small opportunities to get in the car or hop on a plane, even if it is for a couple of days, I’ll pack my bag. Photography has been my way of seeing the world, trying new experiences, making photos that hopefully encourage others to travel, and, frankly, putting myself in a different mindset to continue to be inspired by the places I visit and the people I meet along the way. Each post includes recommendations of places to eat, drink, stay, and visit.
